Printing/Publishing

Centerpiece of the publishing and printing room is a Model 5 Mergenthaler printing linotype dating from the early 1900's. The Marysville Advocate used this linotype up until the 1970's.

Other exhibits include photos from the Byron Guise collection, an Underwood noiseless typewriter, equipment for engraving photos, and items from the days of "hot type" printing.

The room also contains a Platen job press dating from the 1900's. The press was used at the Axtell Standard.
